It’s two years since plans first emerged for the B&Q site (on the A406/North Circular/Gunnersbury Avenue just north of Chiswick roundabout) for six blocks of flats (mostly for students) up to 22 storeys high plus a cinema. Those plans have been shelved. The proposal is now for “the world’s first fully integrated customer-centric car showcase, exhibition, gaming and technology experience” with restaurants, retail, a hotel and residential units.
There is nothing more on the official website than is in the leaflet (see below) that today flopped onto doorsteps in the Gunnersbury Park Garden Estate, showing an aerial view of the site, a photo of B&Q and a representative location map of limited helpfulness. The feedback section is a simple Yes/No/Unsure question with a small space for comments.
