Lendlease, the freeholder of Empire House, is actively marketing the empty shops between Fuller’s The Old Pack Horse pub and the excellent family-run Wild Bunch juice bar and cafe – opposite Turnham Green on Chiswick High Road.
The shops are different sizes and currently stripped and bare but Lendlease will put in services as needed by the short term lessee. The faster a potential lessee puts in a request, the faster Lendlease can bring the units back to life.
If you know anyone wanting to set up a pop-up, or who needs short term space, or wants to test the Chiswick market please ask them to contact:
Gavin at Nash Bond, the agent marketing the units, on 020 7290 4555 and say it’s about Empire House in Chiswick.
Lendlease has pledged to market these units and it would be good to see them productive again, while Lendlease decides what to do about its property long term.
If there is demand and Lendlease is slow to act, I will add pressure so please do let me know. Any problems, also please let me know. Let’s make this part of the High Road buzzy and active again!
And if you haven’t yet treated yourself to a delicious freshly-made smoothie, juice, soup, sandwich salad or breakfast at Wild Bunch, please do. It’s well worth the extra few steps past what was Valentina and Carpetright and what feels like a barren wasteland to support this excellent independent cafe run by Mandana and Ali who live in Turnham Green ward. Expect world spices in soups – Mandana and Ali are from Iran and there are hints of Persia in the menu. (I can vouch for the deliciousness of their home-made Persian cookie with a cup of their first rate coffee.)
