Secret Cinema community involvement in Hounslow and Ealing
- A three-week filmmaking programme for 12 young people in the criminal justice system who live in Hounslow and Ealing. The participants will be provided with the guidance and resources to make a three-minute short film inspired by Romeo and Juliet.
- Partnering with MAC-UK, a mental health charity for excluded young people. Together they will raise funds for a new youth-led project in the area, helping young people build solutions to violence and other issues, while also addressing their mental health and wellbeing.
- Planning a special immersive event on the production stages of SCP Romeo + Juliet for local young people. The event will feature live music and films from the local community and will be free to attend.
- An immersive workshop programme with members of its production team.
- Providing six short enrichment courses with local community groups (providing a pathway to employment). It will also seek to engage young people with learning difficulties.
